Dewey’s Pizza Raises $4,500 for Cancer Research at the 2019 Hyde Park Blast

July 12, 2019 - Dewey's Pizza’s Director of Community Outreach, Kevin Dern, presented the Hyde Park Blast board of directors with a check for $4,500.

“We are grateful for our partnership with the best pizza restaurant in Cincinnati," said Doug Huff, Hyde Park Blast Sponsorship Director. “They actually ran out of dough at this year’s Blast.”

This donation is from the sales of the Dewey’s Pizza Trailer during the Hyde Park Blast and will directly benefit The Cure Starts Now. The Cure Starts Now is one of the only cancer research foundations in the world dedicated to funding pediatric brain cancer research. Research many experts believe could lead to the homerun cure – a cure for all cancers! The organization has raised more than $12.5 million dollars since 2007.

“The Hyde Park Blast is one of our favorite events every year. Our employees love working in the Pizza Trailer and helping out a great cause and we’ve donated $29,250 to the Hyde Park Blast since 2012,” said Dern. “As a company we strive to nourish our community and provide fun experiences for our employees and the Hyde Park Blast helps us accomplish that.”
